Using this calculator without the associated resource pack (As described in
the Easy Usage section) requires sacrificing resources (if the resource
cannot be re-smelted to remove the 'Worked' tag) or at the cost of making an
imperfect part.
Taking that sacrificial part to be forged, hammer it until you line up the
red and green arrows. However, take note of what steps you take to get
there. You can keep track of this using the Add Last Actions
buttons. Once you do this, click on Use total as target
to use
the total shown as the target.
Do not use the Hit
button when doing this part, as that action
is not directly possible in terms of targeting. If you accidentally use it,
it will not count towards the total.
Continuing with the typical steps, after making sure to
Clear Last Actions
first.
Set the last actions in the same order you see them in the anvil using
the Add Last Actions
section.
For cases where any type of hit can be used, Hit
will consider
any action that has the word Hit
in it.
Click Calculate
and it should output the steps that you have
to take to
perfectly anvil your part.
Take caution as it is technically possible that the actual steps to reach
the target needs to be in a different order to stay within bounds of the
anvil. This is currently not checked for.
